Week of: 5/20/13 - 5/24/13

• Monday ODD:  Discuss winds and currents.  Go over hte notes and watch a brief demonstration on the Coriolis Effect.
  
• Tuesday EVEN: Demonstration of Coriolis Effect.  Density Lab looking at the effects of temperature on density and salinity on density.  Make and ocean in a bottle to preview our next concept, waves.
•  Wednesday ODD/Thursday EVEN: Watch  "Undersea Universe" on tides nad currents.  Review information on currents and preview information on tides.
• Friday ODD:  Take notes on wave structure and types.  Takes notes on tides.  Discuss waves and tides.  Students will label the parts of a wave.  Students will take a quiz on the difference between waves and tides.
